Kaawa maps every garden you buy coffee from, checks it against the EU's 2020 forest map, proves the wrongly flagged ones are coffee, and files your Due Diligence Statement. Priced per bag, quoted for your volume.
On 30 December 2026. Small and micro operators follow on 30 June 2027.
No field team required. Vetted survey partners walk the gardens you can't.
Seven steps from a farmer list to a container that ships with proof. Tap a step for detail.
CSV, Excel, or photos of land titles, LC1 letters and cooperative records. Each supplier gets a completeness score that says exactly what is missing.
GeoJSON, KML, Shapefile, CSV or GPX from any GPS tool, checked on upload. Managed survey, priced per garden, when you have no field presence.
JRC Global Forest Cover 2020 plus Sentinel-2 quarterly mosaics from 2018 to today. New passes re-check your plots and alert you first.
A Contest Pack with the forest type, seven years of imagery, ground photos and the farmer's own words — signed off by a person, never auto-cleared.
Parchment to green at realistic yields. If the traced volume is below the container, the statement does not file.
Filed as your agent under your own TRACES credentials. Reference and verification numbers come back to your dashboard.
One link per buyer. You choose how much they see. Every view is logged.
Boundaries that TRACES accepts. Polygons for anything over 4 ha, every geometry fault repaired or blocked and shown to you side-by-side.
Forest overlap, forest type, change events with dates, protected-area distance, and a verdict you can explain to an auditor.
An append-only ledger from delivery to shipment. Mass balance with real yield factors. Variance becomes an exception, never a rounding.
Annex II payload assembled from source records, submitted to TRACES V3, reference and verification numbers back in your hands.
Land titles, customary tenure letters, LC1 letters, cooperative records, national IDs. Photograph them; we read them into fields. Anything we are not sure about goes to a person, never silently into a compliance record.
Unclosed rings, self-intersections, wrong winding, wrong CRS, lost precision, points where polygons are required, impossible locations, overlapping or duplicated plots. Corrections are shown next to the original, in plain language, for you to accept or reject.
The EU map says forest or not. We add the forest type — primary, naturally regenerating, or planted — because a planted-forest flag has a completely different defence from a primary one. Then Sentinel-2 every quarter since 2018, including a full cloud-free 2020.
Uganda is standard risk, so full due diligence and mitigation are mandatory. Every assessment lists its signals, their weights, the dataset versions and the person who reviewed it. No model writes your risk score. Historical assessments stay reproducible.
Delivery, pooling, processing, transfer, blending, shipment — each a hash-chained event. Parchment to green at about 0.80. If traced volume is below the container, there is no override. A platform that rounds up manufactures your liability.
One link per importer. Three disclosure tiers, switched by you. Every Tier 2 and Tier 3 access is logged where you can read it.
The EU's 2020 forest map is 91% accurate overall, but wrongly calls 18% of what it labels forest "forest". Ugandan coffee is grown under shade. At 10 metres, a shade-grown garden looks like trees — because it is trees. Pruning reads as deforestation.
How a Contest Pack is builtOne rate per 60 kg bag, tiered by your annual volume and billed only when a statement is accepted. No seats, no modules, no support fees. Rates depend on volume, prepayment and contract terms, so we quote rather than publish — book a demo and we'll quote for your volume in the meeting.
Managed survey (per garden) and contest cases (per plot) are quoted separately, because not every exporter needs them.
Written, itemised, valid for 30 days. No obligation.
30 December 2026 for large and medium operators. 30 June 2027 for small and micro operators. These are the current dates after two postponements; if the Official Journal moves them again, this page changes the same day.
We file as your agent, under your own TRACES credentials. The statement is yours; the liability for its accuracy is yours. That is the law and it is in our contract.
Yes. Request a managed survey and a vetted partner maps the gardens, priced per garden. A supplier with no paperwork at all can become compliant through ground evidence we collect.
We classify it, gather counter-evidence and build a Contest Pack. A person reviews and signs. If the flag is real, you will know that too, with the mitigation plan to go with it.
Per bag of coffee shipped, tiered by your annual volume, billed only when a statement is accepted. Managed survey and contest cases are priced separately because not every exporter needs them. No, and it is in the terms, not just this page. Farmer-level data is never sold to buyers and we do not trade on aggregated supply intelligence.
GDPR from day one. SOC 2 and ISO 27001 are not yet held; a security whitepaper is in preparation (shared under NDA), and we say exactly where we stand.
Your garden registry, farmer records and custody ledger still serve organic and Fairtrade certification, agricultural finance and buyer programmes. The regulation is the reason to start; the registry is what you keep.
Large and medium operators: 30 December 2026. Nobody onboards a vendor in the last month. Start with the suppliers you know best; we map the rest.
Vetted survey companies in the coffee districts record the boundaries with their own GPS tools, upload them, photograph the gardens and collect the documents — priced per garden, quoted with your volume. Kaawa assigns, checks and pays them. They see only the gardens in their job, never your volumes, prices or buyers.
